Check it yourself: your data never leaves your browser

You do not have to take our word for it. This page shows, live, what your browser is doing, and how to check it with your own tools.

What is stored in your browser

Only preferences (keys starting with dt:). This is everything we read from your local storage, values included.

Nothing stored yet.

Check it with your own tools

  1. Network. Open DevTools (F12) → Network tab → filter by “Fetch/XHR”. Use any tool and type into it: the list stays empty.
  2. Airplane mode. After the page loads, turn the network off. The tools keep working: they need no server.
  3. Storage. DevTools → Application → Local Storage: you will only see dt:* keys with preferences, never what you type.
  4. Headers. Fetch them from your terminal and look for connect-src 'self': the browser stops this page from connecting anywhere else.
    curl -sI http://localhost/ | grep -i content-security-policy

Limits, no fine print

  • If you accept ads, the EthicalAds network sees your IP when serving them. It never receives what you type. You can withdraw it in “Privacy preferences”.
  • Like any website, the server that hosts us logs page access (IP, path, browser). That is the visit, not the content you process.
  • The counter uses Resource Timing: it cannot see WebSockets or browser extensions. That is why the Network tab is the definitive proof.
  • This page shows what your browser does right now; on its own it does not prove the served code is the published one. The published code can be audited.
